We have an important update about the beginning of bargaining with Princeton admin.
Our first collective bargaining session with Princeton has now been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 29th, 9AM-12PM.
After initially agreeing to start on October 8, Princeton admin later informed us that no rooms were available on campus to hold negotiations that day despite the extensive number of buildings on campus. While we hoped to begin bargaining earlier, we look forward to beginning the bargaining process so that postdocs and scholars can secure a contract without unnecessary delay.
At the first session, we – the bargaining committee – plan to present our Initial Bargaining Goals to Princeton with signatures from a majority of all postdocs and scholars. It will be important that a majority of all postdocs and scholars sign on to these goals to continue to show Princeton that all of us are united behind our bargaining priorities and discourage them from delaying any further.
