Spring 2022
Postdocs assessed interest in forming a union and reached out to UAW.
February 2023
We organized a petition and rally to demand higher pay and won a $10,000 increase to the minimum postdoc salary.
May 2023
We started signing up to form our union and conducted an initial survey to begin developing our priorities democratically. We had hundreds of conversations with coworkers about forming a union and more people got involved across campus.
April 2024
We filed a petition with the NLRB to form our union with support from >65% of all postdocs and scholars at Princeton.
May 2024
We voted by an overwhelming 84% to form our union!
