As your Bargaining Committee (BC), we have some exciting updates to share with you!
Our first collective bargaining session with Princeton has been confirmed for Tuesday, October 8th, 9AM-12PM. Further sessions will likely be biweekly on Tuesdays here on.
In the first few sessions, we aim to set the agenda by presenting to the administration an overview of the demands we will make in upcoming sessions and also make a strong show of our power.
We plan to present to Princeton our Initial Bargaining Goals (“IBGs”). This document gives a very broad overview of the issues and priorities raised during the many conversations, town halls, and bargaining surveys involving postdocs across campus. As of this week, a majority of all postdocs and scholars have completed the bargaining survey!
Next, it will be important that a majority of all postdocs and scholars sign on to these goals to continue to show Princeton that postdocs and scholars are united behind these priorities for bargaining. Additionally, we will insist on having open bargaining where other postdocs can attend as observers.
